His work in comics began in the 1970s were he worked on several underground comics, and in the late 1970s and 1980s worked regularly on some Marvel and DC Comics as well as co-creating the series Lori Lovecraft. Vosburg has also contributed to television and films with his illustrations, including work on the HBO series Tales from the Crypt where he did storyboarding and illustrating the comic covers used in the series. He also produced the storyboards for the 2005 film adaptation of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
