In their cultural tradition, the Gand species typically did not identify individuals by name, so the fact that Ossluk earned two names was a testament to his achievements and prowess as a warrior. These green gloves helped the wearer by giving a small improvement in capabilities necessary in combat. Near the end of the Dark Wars in 3951 BBY, these gloves were no longer in possession of this Gand. Around that time, Ossluk's gloves were valued at around 25,000 credits.
