The Autonomists (abbreviated A or Au) was one of the five major political factions in the Galactic Senate and was comprised of members from all regions of the galaxy. The group's leaning was toward local, decentralized government. The Autonomists also supported demilitarization efforts inasmuch as it was universal. They were against guild and union-driven markets, favoring a free-flowing and open economy. The faction selected Neumasa of Ithor in the chancery election following the resignation of Rosock Mekosk.
