One of the least useful armor enhancements in the old TQ, one of the more valuable in the Anniversary Edition due to the added Bleeding resistance bonus, which is difficult to acquire and is important on at least two bosses on Epic and Legendary difficulty, Manticore and Yaoguai. One of the possible bonuses for completion is another chunk of Bleeding resistance, which further increases the charm's value. The best farming place for Boar Hide are arguably the Ambrossos Farmlands with lots of boars and a rebirth fountain in the nearby village of Ambrossos.
