The Vermissa Valley was a valley located in the United States. It was very rich in ore and heavily mined. The largest settlement in the valley was the town of Vermissa. During the early 1870s the valley was under the control of a vicious secret society known as the Scowrers, who held the area under a reign of terror until Pinkerton agent Birdy Edwards broke up the gang.
