The Piercing Augmentation is one of eight augmentations available in Fable, Fable: The Lost Chapters and Fable Anniversary. It does extra damage to enemies with armour, such as trolls. Once an augment has been put on a weapon, it is permanent. If you switch weapons, the piercing augment will not transfer to the new weapon that you have equipped.
