The Pillars of Law was the annual magistrates' conference during the Month of the Dragon to create or eliminate faulty laws by a host of judges, courtiers, and nobles. The Emperor might overrule all others at the conference, but he typically approved the judgments of others instead. The Emerald Champion presided it in the absence of the Emperor.
