The Nanostarter-Cosmicslash family was an important family on Ryloth and Shili. The Jedi Council has benefited from this family because of it's many force-wielding members and Twi'lek-Togruta mixed members. The Nanostarters and Cosmicslashs had been kindly to give half of it's members to the Jedi. This gave an advantage to the Jedi because ,with the Togruta and Twi'lek species both very strong, the Jedi would gain twice as much power in one Nanostarter or Cosmicslash. The Nanostarter-side of the family had ran into the Nightsisters Clan of Dathomir and had became allies ever since. Also the Nightsisters had an agreement with the Nightsisters that they would help spread the Nightsisters' powers and ways of life to other species such as Ithorians, Togrutas, and the Twi'leks and the Nanostart
