[Source] GA21 shield generator was a device used to create a deflector shield. Created by Novaldex during the Galactic Civil War. The Corellian Engineering Corporation installed them on the HT-2200 medium freighter to improve the freighter's defensive capabilities. They also knew that a large percentage of its customer base was involved in less-than-legal freight runs where better shields would be a priority.
