The Rahad is the oldest district of the city of Ebou Dar, the capital of Altara. Located east of the river, the Rahad used to be the heart of Barashta, the Ogier-built capital city of Eharon before it was destroyed during the Trolloc Wars. The city was rebuilt, but the new construction was done mostly west of the river. The ruins of the Rahad were reoccupied by the poor and destitute and over time, the settlement was rebuilt as Ebou Dar's lower-class district.
