The RG3520ZE features a bound basswood body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a 24-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with wedge sharktooth position markers. Components include dual covered EMG active humbucking pickups, an Edge Zero double locking tremolo bridge, a locking nut and Gotoh tuning machines. The RG3520ZE was discontinued after 2009 and was brought back for 2013 before being discontinued again in early 2014.
