The Ferocious guard dog is a crafted monster which can only be fought after it is released from a ferocious guard dog box. The creature requires a Monstercrafting level of 22 to make the creatures box and release it. It's very weak to Stab attacks but considering its low level and low defence, players can just about use any weapon against it.
