On October 5, 2990 3A, May and her family fought in the Battle of Bywater, slaying a couple of Ruffians that took power and wealth over the Shire. On September 12, 3001 3A, Daisy and her family attended Bilbo's farewell party. After her younger brother Sam left the Shire with Frodo, May was among those that grew worried of Sam's departure. However, this was when she received word from Will Whitfoot that Sam, Frodo, Pippin, and Merry were in Rivendell and were preparing to set on a journey to destroy the One Ring. She was very happy to hear the news until she and her siblings joined the Shire Company under the leadership of Will Whitfoot.
