Mari welcomes her viewers to the episode, with "[her] foe, [her] enemy" Lasercorn, who prefers the word "nemesis". Mari admits that Lasercorn makes for a good villain. Lasercorn asks Mari if she wants to surrender, noting that he can at anytime free Mari from the mine he trapped her in in the previous episode. Mari states that her surrender is unnecessary, as she has crafted a pickaxe to get out. Upon learning this, Lasercorn decided to make it more difficult for Mari by adding more blocks over the sealed entrance. Mari easily finds the exit and sees Lasercorn's nametag moving about in her house and starts mining out, but decides against it as she does not want to come out "just yet".
