The EAS Hydra was an Earthforce Omega class destroyer. During the Earth Alliance Civil War, she fought on the side of EarthGov alongside the EAS Cadmus and the EAS Delphi in a battle against Captain John Sheridan's Renegade fleet. During the engagement the Hydra took severe damage and withdrew along with the Delphi.
