Casino Royale is the twenty-first film in the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions. It is a series reboot and the first to feature Daniel Craig as the 007. The film was directed by Martin Campbell and adapted for the screen by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Paul Haggis. In the film, Bond must defeat criminal banker Le Chiffre in a high-stakes game of poker to thwart his criminal organisation from funding terrorists. He is aided by CIA agent Felix Leiter and HM Treasury liaison Vesper Lynd.
