As a strange Zone suddenly opens in Mobius, Sonic the Hedgehog is distracted by the appearance of a Smart missile pursuing him through the streets of the Metropolis Zone. When Sonic realises he can't shake off the homing missile, he gives in. In turn, the missile warns him that he solve a series of rhymes sent by The Trickster or the missile will detonate. The first rhyme, "The villains you face end up in this place", easily leads Sonic to Metropolis City High Security Prison. The missile then gives Sonic a second puzzle, but doesn't give Sonic time to solve it before freeing Mr Fry from his cell. The pair fight but the hedgehog easily gets the better of Fry and knocks him out. As Sonic moves on to the Metropolis City Scrapyard, Tekno the Canary is busy discovering a new Zone from her work
