Originally built in 2571, the Yanme'e Gungdo-class Dreadnought was built as a replacement for the Assault Carrier, which was heavily powered but lacked the complete strike out capabilities of more powerful ships. Hence, with the help of the Sangheili-Lekgolo Diarchy, the ship went under construction immediately, under top secrecy. The Gungdo has a heavy chassis, similar to the Halcyon-class formerly used by the UNSC. This keeps the ship from falling apart, and holds its powerful, 4 Titanium-A battleplate thick armor in place.
