The RG1680 features a mahogany body with a flamed maple top bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with offset dot position markers. Components include DiMarzio pickups in an HSH configuration, a locking nut and a double locking tremolo bridge. The RG1680 was discontinued after 2000.
