Around reference stardate 1/93, an accident occurred and the ship was disintegrated by an enormous on-ship explosion and the aftereffects of the explosion created a comet. Her remains were found approximately three stardates later by the USS Brahe under Captain Peter Sullivan. Sullivan recommended that the comet be named after the ship.
