The Second Battle of Thurkad occurred during the Time of the Mirror, concurrent with the Ghâshâd Insurrection which was brought to a halt due to the danger the Ghâshâd faced in battling both Thyllan's forces and the First Army of Yggur's Empire. Thyllan's forces were ultimately successful in defeating the First Army, however, after his personal defeat in a duel of the Art, with the armies temporary leader, Maigraith, Thyllan was overthrown and the battle ended.
