Pain works similarly to Fog, but instead of disabling magical attacks, it disables the use of physical attacks. It can be cured with Esuna, Dispel, Dispelga, and Painkiller. The player can cast the status to enemies with the Saboteur spells Pain and Painga learned fairly late in the Crystarium. The player can resist against the status with the following accessories: Pain Dampener, Pain Deflector, Ribbon, and Super Ribbon.
