On a summer day, when the great heat spured a meanly thirst, a Lewcat and a Boar both came to a small well to drink. They toughly raked which of them should drink first, and were soon intangled in the aches of a deadly hild. As they stopped to catch their breath, they saw some geirs waiting in the farness to feed on the one which should fall first. They at once made up their row, saying: "It is better for us to make friends, than to become the food of Crows or Geirs, as will soothly happen if we are lamed."
