The most basic strength of the fruit is that it gives its user the strengths of Echidna. In the case of Mcbunha's volley-ball, the fruit's most major strength is that it has given life to an otherwise inanimate object. With this, Cara has been given a unique weapon with which to fight. Usually Cara uses Rofu in his volley-ball game, where everytime Rofu is hit by enemy, he turns into hybrid form when enemys hands get stab by his spikes. The fruit so far does not seem to have any specific weaknesses outside the standard Devil Fruit weaknesses.
