Each game piece has colored blocks that represents a different type of warrior. Once two pieces of the opposing sides meet, the players place their pieces on top of one another and face them sideways. They then use their magic to animate their pieces to battle each other and try to destroy the opposing players piece. Whomever destroys all their opponents pieces wins the game. Makai Priests and Knights who are masters at the game are said to be in full control and have great skill in their magic. Thus, the game is not only a form of recreation, but a test of their skills and a means of building their strength and character.
