A half-goblin is a cross-breed between a human and a goblin. It is unknown if goblins can breed with Muggles, but since very few Muggles ever become aware that goblins exist, most half-goblins will have a magical parent. From this parent, they inherit magical ability, unless they happen to be a Squib. From their goblin parent, they gain small size and intelligence.
