Trinity Borland was born on the mysterious prehistoric island her Puritan parent's colony ship washed ashore upon. The island seems enormous and teeming with prehistoric creatures beyond anything they had ever imagined. The colony is very small, with far too many people lost to disease and creature attacks. Her father has taught her to handle a musket, use a sword, and to survive in this dangerous land. She helps defend the colony with her wits and weapons. Sometimes to the chagrin of the hard line religious leaders of the colony.
