Elgon's tor was a high hillock covered with boulders at the natural boundary between Mimbre and Asturia. It was almost like a fort. Elgon, an Asturian hero of the Arendish civil war, held this Asturian stronghold for a month against a Mimbrate army. The back of the hill was a sheer face. Garion and his company took refuge there when they were attacked by Algroths and were bailed out by Mandorallen.
