Pavel Markov was a human male commodore of the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars, and father of ace TIE pilot Andrei "Akula" Markov. Pavel was known to have been a skilled officer, and served under Obi-Wan Kenobi. He did not wish to serve the Galactic Empire, and thus chose not to join the Imperial Navy after the Declaration of the New Order.
