Several days of severe ice and snow storms shut down businesses across New Cambria. An estimated 109,000 people are without electricity in Avery County, Cavit Island and the Outer Islands and inter-island ferry service is canceled indefinitely. A total of 11 people have died as a result of the severe weather.
