A Mancunian-born actor who became associated with a number of Liverpudlian roles, he has been appearing on British television since the 1970s. As of January 2012, his most recent role is a recurring one in White Heat, but his career stretches all the way back to at least Philip Hinchcliffe's Target in the late 1970s. Among the many guest-starring gigs he's had are tuns on Law & Order UK with Freema Agyeman and Bill Paterson; All Creatures Great and Small with Peter Davison and Lynda Bellingham; Emmerdale Farm; and Hi-de-Hi!
