Richard Bauer was an American film and stage actor. In 1977 he was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Award for Actor in a Supporting Role and subsequently began making several on-screen appearances such as The Sicilian in 1987. He died of leukaemia on March 1st, 1999. The Richard Bauer award is named in his honour.
