Mike Skinner won the pole at 110 mph, while Rick Crawford joined him on the outside pole. Eventual racewinner Setzer qualified midway through the field, at the 18th starting position. Kelly Sutton was the only driver who did not qualify for the race, as she was unable to make a qualifying attempt due to her truck not being ready.
