Moff Venram Nistola formed his own empire after the fracturing of the Galactic Empire following the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY. It spanned all of the Thanium Worlds in the remote Borderlands Region of the Outer Rim Territories, over time growing to include several other sectors. It lasted to 14 ABY, when the New Republic launched an invasion of the empire.
