Major General Garrett Harencak is the commander of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), Air Force Material Command at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. The AFNWC is responsible for the entire scope of U.S. Air Force nuclear weapons support functions and in addition to its headquarters at Kirtland, comprises several other units in the U.S and abroad. Prior this position, Harencak served another nuclear-materials-related role as Military Administrator for the NNSA (National Nuclear Security Administration), U.S Department of Energy.
