Shay Stephenson (born September 13, 1983) is a Canadian hockey player for Vålerenga Ishockey of the Norwegian GET-ligaen. He played junior hockey for the Red Deer Rebels and won the Memorial Cup in 2001. He was chosen 278th overall by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. Unsigned by the Oilers, he was then chosen 198th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He did not sign with the Hurricanes either and turned pro in 2004-05 with IF Sundsvall Hockey in Sweden.
