Project Distant Star Return is a NASA and A.T.C.U. orchestrated project which HYDRA leader Gideon Malick consults on. The project's sole purpose is to bring back the ancient Inhuman, It, to Earth from another world by sending an Inhuman army through a portal created by the Monolith. The project was developed in 2001 as Project Distant Star, which sent four scientists, Will Daniels, Austin, Taylor, and Brubaker through the Monolith to study the planet.
