Around thirty days after Emergence Day, Sutton was part of the effort to defend the city of Halvo Bay from a huge Locust assault. Sutton was defending the Seahorse Hills when a comrade was injured. Sutton attempted to revive the other Gear, but was killed by a Mortar round. Sutton's COG Tag was later recovered by Pvt. Garron Paduk of Kilo Squad.
