Damarys was born into a well-connected, wealthy family living in the prestigious Onyx Towers on Coruscant. Her father presided over a mighty galaxy-spanning conglomerate, the Vethi'shaan Integrity. When Damarys was a young girl, the Battle of Endor shattered the invincible Empire of her childhood. As uprisings against Imperial rule swept through the ecumenopolis, opportunistic rioting and looting spread with it. Damarys was dragged from her bed by a nanny, and her family tried to flee.
