Command Speeder 714-D was the model designation attributed to a modified LAVr QH-7 Chariot. Like most LAVs, the 714-D was designed for atmospheric combat and was known for its durable, armored hull plating. In 5 ABY, members of the Senate Planetary Intelligence Network stole one of the QH-7s from Imperial forces. Under the instruction of Admiral Ackbar at Pisces Base, technicians modified the small speeder with Ion engine repulsors and a hyperdrive system, allowing the 714-D the ability to travel through outer space for short distances.
