Power Rangers Millennium Force is based on and an adaption of Battle Fever J in Toonwriter's Power Rangers series. However, the Rangers and their suits in the series are all based on AkaRed. Only the monsters and foot soldiers of Battle Fever J are adapted for this series. The main Rangers are older versions of certain kids who are friends with the Power Rangers.
