The Sorat-class Assault Ship is the standard Xen'Chi transport, roughly analogous to an Imperial Gamma-class ATR-6 Assault Transport. It is capable of carrying heavy ordinance into a battle (and lots of it), in addition to carrying troops for boarding actions and planetary invasions. It is protected by a number of omnidirectional weapons systems, ensuring that no enemy starfighter can settle on its tail for an easy kill.
