In general, we try to write articles in an "in-universe" style. This means, we treat characters as real people and events as if they really occurred. This is done for several reasons: 1. * To separate ourselves from other wiki sources about HIMYM, namely Wikipedia. Wikipedia discourages writing with an in-universe style because it is an encyclopedia about the real world. 2. * To maintain a consistent tone. By choosing to always maintain this tone, we can make sure our articles are consistent 3. * It takes greater effort to maintain a "this is fiction" tone when writing in detail about the subject.
