Father Gerät is the abbot of the Corbettite Depot Fortress of St. Szpac. He generally comes across as a sensible and pragmatic leader, dealing with Brother Ulm's rather hamfisted attempts at assassinating passenger Agatha, and then very grudgingly knuckling under when Tweedle appears on the scene with word that the relevant Pope has formally acknowledged Tweedle as the new Storm King. Tweedle in turn is impressed enough with the Father's intellect [ to say] [[Chronology - Volume #|✣ ]] that he would make a good royal advisor; the fact that the Corbettite is not a member of Tweedle's family only increases his appeal.
