Duncan Johnson was a 41-year-old patient at the St. Jude's Hospital, who was an engineer. He was diagnosed with an AIDS-related Cytomegalovirus which gave him no more than five more weeks to live. While Duncan was brooding over this news, Mitchell directed Herrick to Duncan, so Herrick could offer to give Duncan another chance at life by recruiting him. Duncan apparently accepted Herrick's offer and became one of Herrick's new vampires. (Where The Wild Things Are) Duncan's fate and status afterwards is unknown, but with Herrick's death shortly after Duncan was recruited, (Bad Moon Rising) Duncan is most likely orphaned and homeless with Herrick's other recruits.
