Cygni Theta XII was an inhabited planet located in or near Federation space. Prior to 2267, Cygni Theta was one of many planets whose inhabitants were wiped out by neural parasites. Unfortunately, parasites made it off planet and were able to infect Ingraham B and Deneva. (TOS novelization: Operation -- Annihilate!)
