The Century Plaza Hotel was a hotel in the Century City neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. In advance of a proposed economic stimulus package, Federal Reserve Chairman Martin Webb held a conference at the Century Plaza with important financial officials, including Marion Zimmer and Dow Jones director Frank Nye. After a few hours, Webb concluded the meeting an hour ahead of schedule, telling his surprised colleagues that he believed they had addressed all the important matters on the table.
