The Gal Gath'thong was a geographical landmark on Romulus known for its firefalls. Alidar Jarok lamented in 2366 that he would never see this landmark again after his defection to the Federation. (TNG: "The Defector" ) According to the script , the spelling is "Gath Gal'thong" though the dialogue in the episode is different.
