It is generally assumed that Verlaine and the rest of the Torrens crew were killed or otherwise incapacitated by a Xenomorph Drone that got aboard the ship while it was attached to Sevastopol; however, there is no confirmation of this beyond her not replying to Ripley's radio messages.
