Usage stats on Shortened races

Shortened races are NASCAR events that do not complete their scheduled and advertised distance. However, the races only count if they are past the halfway point. NASCAR must make a judgement call past the halfway point if they can get a race back in a timely and safe manner, taking in factors such as darkness and crowd safety. If they feel like the race can not go on, the race is then called at the lap of the red flag.
